2009-05-04 17:20:26 Adyeths description Ubuntu 9.04 seems to lock up unexpectedly without giving any sort of message about the cause in any log files. The only course of action when this happens is to shut the power off to the computer and then restart it. I first encountered this problem with Ubuntu 8.10 and it appears it has continued on to 9.04. Ubuntu 9.04 seems to lock up unexpectedly without giving any sort of message about the cause in any log files. The only course of action when this happens is to shut the power off to the computer and then restart it. I first encountered this problem with Ubuntu 8.10 and it appears it has continued on to 9.04. My system is a Compaq Presario SR2010NX with 2 gigs of memory. I'm using the built in GeForce 6150 LE graphics but it also happens when I use my older GeForce FX 5200 card. No WIFI. Upon searching the forums I found a thread which seems to be related to this issue that I'm experiencing. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1135055
