Bug Description

Hi,

My system is:

- Acer TravelMate 5720
- Ubuntu 9.04
- Wicd 1.5.9
- WPA2 encryption

Using hardy I have no problems. When I upgraded to Jaunty, on startup, the connection seems to be established (wicd says CONNECTED) but if I ping my router I get "Destination Host Unreachable".

This for the first 1 minute...then the connection start to works!!
Also, sometimes during surfing, the connection stop to work again and the ping not work for a minute..

PS. I've added a restart network on startup (/etc/init.d/networking restart) but it not solve..

Ok, maybe this is not a bug "per se", or it is maybe related to a new/edited feature that creates some incompatibility within my system.

More infos..

I've installed a new kernel:

# uname -a
Linux Barzo-laptop 2.6.29-02062902-generic #02062902 SMP Tue Apr 28 17:10:08 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

But the problem persist.
I've also noted that when I boot up the system, the connection is up but when I ping the router it start to answer always after 50-60 pings (seconds).
If I don't use the network (for example I don't start the browser and so on), its doesn't start to work.

Regards,
Daniele.
