Bug Description

Hello.

I just upgraded from Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04.
Ekiga 3.2 within.
My accounts do not work. Were working minutes ago with 8.10 and Ekiga 2.0.

I get the:
Ekiga did not manage to configure your network settings automatically. You can still use it, but you need to configure your network settings manually.

Please see http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Enable_port_forwarding_manually for instructions

The URL does not help much. Configuration assistant shows no NAT test anymore. It does not report any NAT problems (if it is done background and automatically). I'm am unable to port forward the router. Why is this happening? Is it particular to version 3.2? Jaunty-related? Both?

Ekiga crashes suddenly when managing accounts.

My Ekiga account has registered. But I am unable to register my SIP service account.

When I try to remove an account I created from scratch, Ekiga crashes. If I try to enable a disabled account, Ekiga crashes. All crashing is without any error dialog.

Help?

Thanks.

A. Mendez

I double checked. When Ekiga 3.2 crashes after trying to remove an account, it throws a "Segmentation fault" when ran from terminal.

same problem here. My ekiga shipped with ubuntu 8.10 works fine before I upgrade to Ubuntu 9.04. Now the Ekiga 3.2 gives me much troubles, it cannot make sip call although it shows my sip account registered; it crashes more often than before.

I make a downgrade to ekiga 3.0.1 (http://kuboit.com/2009/04/resolviendo-problemas-de-ekiga-en-ubuntu-904-jaunty/) and now work fine.

Hi,

When Ekiga crash a window should pop-up automatically to report the crash. Without a crash report we cannot understand where the issue is.

You can get the report manually, following those instructions:
(There is no need to recompile ekiga, you can safely skip this part)
(please use the second command to get the report:
$ gdb --args ekiga -d 4 2>&1 | tee gdb-ekiga.txt
with it, I'll be able to understand registration issue as well)
http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Debugging_Ekiga#How_to_get_a_stack_backtrace_from_a_crash
Then attach the file here.

I recommend to open a new bug report for each new crash, even if it seems the same as a previous one. We can mark a bug as a duplicate but we cannot split a bug report. The only way to close properly a bug is to deal with 1 issue at the time.

Best regards,
Yannick
