Bug Description

I can no longer use the touchpad on my Asus EEE 1000HD pc. If I plug in a usb mouse and use that, it works fine. However, if I click the left mouse button on the touch pad, it kills the left mouse button on my usb mouse and i have to do a full reboot.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release (10.04)? Thanks in advance.

I just did a full wipe and reload (I loaded up 10.04). I am experiencing the same issue. If I do a modprobe -r psmouse, this kills the touchpad. I then gain the ability to use my usb mouse again.
