Slow Desktop Menu on UNR 9.04

I upgraded my eee 1000 from ubuntu 8.10 (with netbook remix) to 9.04 UNR and the desktop menus are now very slow... they take about 1 second to highlight a menu item and about 3 seconds to change menu panels (say from Favourites to Office).

Confirmed on EeePC 701. Is it a duplicate of bug 239943? https://bugs.launchpad.net/netbook-remix-launcher/+bug/239943

For other reasons, I completely re-installed 9.04 UNR, formatting the SSD to ext4. The problem is not occuring now.

Possibly a dupe of 239943 but I didn't monitor CPU usage when I had the problem so can not confirm. Sorry for the poor information. Fixed for me now.
