Can't activate the compiz effects after an upgrade to 9.04

After i upgraded to 9.04, the compiz effects (which was active on my laptop) was deactivated.

Now i can no more activate it.

i have also remove all the compiz package, purge it and make a new install for it but i also can't activate the advanced features for the graphics effects.
