Bug Description

I upgraded to 9.04 without problem, I restarted the pc but I can not view the login page. The screen are brown with the mouse cursor that I move.

I have a ATI card RV350 (Radeon9550) (get from command lspci) and don't use proprietary driver.

In attachment the Xorg.0.log file.

This morning I installed the Kubuntu-desktop, in this case after reboot I saw the login page, insert my login/password but the system doesn't start.

With the Ubuntu I have the auto login, for this I don't see the login window, but both systems lock after the login.

Attach my auth.log file. Any Idea?
I don't know if is better to reinstall the 8.10... I can't use the pc, only the 9.04 live works.

Hi Mino,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/)

If it remains an issue, could you also attach a new /var/log/Xorg.0.log?
        Thanks in advance.
