gtktextview.c reports GtkWarning related to screen drawing

Bug #365725 reported by Arc "warthog" Riley on 2009-04-23

Bug Description

The following popped up on a fresh Jaunty install with only wine and cabextract added while running the ies4linux install script. I don't believe this has anything to do with ies4linux, perhaps pygtk? System is a Dell Studio "N" series laptop. Second attempt to run the script went fine.

/home/arc/ies4linux- GtkWarning: /build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.16.1/gtk/gtktextview.c:4550: somehow some text lines were modified or scrolling occurred since the last validation of lines on the screen - may be a text widget bug.
Gtk:ERROR:/build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.16.1/gtk/gtktextview.c:4551:gtk_text_view_paint: code should not be reached
ui/pygtk/ line 6: 20235 Aborted python "$IES4LINUX"/ui/pygtk/

I've also seen this. Fresh Jaunty install on Dell Optiplex 755

I fixed this by installing build-essential and libgtk2.0-dev.

It also occurs on karmic. I have build-essential and libgtk2.0-dev installed, but the problem keeps occurring.
