Bug Description

Hi all,
after installing Ubuntu 8.04 long term support, there's no sound coming. NVidia's download site for sound module drivers are for Windows XP only.
Following address came up in the terminal: normally there shouldn't be "Unknown device xXXX".

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release (10.04)? Thanks in advance.
