compiz wont run on intel graphics board after 4/18/09 upgrade

unable to run compiz after upgrade of 4/18/09. it had worked previously. When trying to enable compiz to run using appearance preference - visual effects I get dialog box stating "Desktop effects could not be enabled" is this the same problem as in alpha beta 8.10 of blacklisted Intel graphics boards? I am running intel graphics board on HP Pavilion 9500 laptop.

by adding script to run at startup problem go's away.

I have this problem as well. This is the first time I've turned my laptop off and on again since the 18th and suddenly, compiz quit working. I'm going to try this script and see if it helps.

If this script works for you, you will need to run it in your startup
applications.

This change was intentional and you can track it in bug 363821 which this will be made a duplicate of.
