Bug Description

Some initscripts aren't even required at all, and can be trivially replaced by things like udev rules - or even just by getting the default kernel options right.

No, this is a feature freeze exception request submitted by an Ubuntu developer. It is already right where it's supposed to be in order to be reviewed by developers.
