Bug Description
After manually running updates yesterday evening, I lost the ability to connect to my wireless.
It attempts to connect, then prompts me for the network key (which is already correct.) I click Ok and it times out again. Was working flawlessly before this last update. Wired network works fine.
I had the Broadcom "B43" Free wireless driver activated. Switching to the proprietary Broadcom driver resolved the problem; after activating it and rebooting, I notice the "B43" driver is missing from the Hardware Drivers list.
If this is just a matter of the driver being removed from the repos, then maybe notifying the user that "Hey - the driver you had activated has been pulled. Sorry for the inconvenience." or some such heads-up.
assigning to update-manager because this seems to be a missing feature
