Bug Description

Running ubuntu 8.10 on a compaq presario SR5710F.

I screenlock at night, and in the morning my networking is down, no irc, no ssh, no http no nothing. The other PCs on the network do not loose their connection. Nothing in /var/logs/messages for this. I have a freenet6 ipv6 tunnel up and a bridge for virtualbox, however I do not think they are the issue.

I also have a pulseaudio error during the night, not sure if its somehow related. I haven't gotten speaker for this system yet (brand new) so I do not know if it killed audio (not that i care, Its for local mySQL use and to learn on)

Tonight I won't screenlock it and see if it repeats, but this is the second night in a row with this bug.

What are your power save setting? Go to System->preferences->Power Management. Is you computer set to go to sleep?

Also, is pulseaudio daemon set for system wide audio?

I removed all the power saving modes (suspension and hibernation) and both problems stopped today it seems.

I'm not sure how to check the pulsaaudio daemon set.
