Bug Description
I've installed Dapper Flight 4 using the provided ISO image. Installation was effortless (I've chosen custom partitioning, dual-booting Windows XP). Nice!
After the installation finished, I did a reboot and the GNOME login manager appeared. But sadly with a wrong screen resolution. I'm running a 24'' LCD, but only 1600x1200 were occupied, black stripes appeared on both sides.
Now it's no biggie, I've manually added the native resolution to the xorg.conf, restarted GNOME and everything was fine. But I'd thought I'll let you know.
I'm using a DELL 2405FPW, connected via DVI with an ASUS N6200/TD (AGP), capable to display 1920x1200. Installation was done using the i386 ISO on a home build AMD Athlon XP.
Please let me know, if you need any more information or have instructions what could be tried during installation in order to have the correct resolution detected right away. As I said, the system runs fine after some custom configuration changes. Thank you.
Regards,
