Bug Description

Binary package hint: digikam

Tested a Canon Digital IXUS (= type AiAF = Canon Powershot S 100 / S100) with digikam a while ago with some older Ubuntu version. It was recognized fine and worked well with it.

Testing with Ubuntu 8.10, a strange thing happens: When you put the camera on playback mode (the mode in which you can see photos taken) and connect it to a PC with digikam open (via USB), the camera is automatically being switched off (apparently through some signal by the PC), so presently there seems to be no way of directly getting photos from the IXUS into digikam.
