It is set in a classical medieval environment with ubiquitious weapons and magic About the Client: The Deliantra Client is a client for Deliantra game servers. It offers an intuitive user interface for exploring the vast game world, a persistent minimap, macros and keymaps, dialog-based NPC interaction, and easy configuration for the skill, spell, and item system. It is based on Perl, SDL, and OpenGL for high performance on modern systems. URL: http://www.deliantra.net/ (and: http://www.deliantra.net/client.html ) License: GPL (version 2) Notes: I'm one of the developers of this game, and wanted to note that we are available for any kinds of packaging related questions at the contact information supplied on http://www.deliantra.net/contact.html . The Client is a Perl program, which is also distributed on CPAN. We usually release binaries for linux, microsoft windows and mac os x using PAR (Perl Archive Toolkit). But building the client from CVS using the usual 'perl Makefile.PL && make && make install' should just work, if the necessary dependencies are installed (which are documented in the output of the Makefile.PL script). This is the client for the game server. The server is also free software (as noted above) and could also readily packaged for Ubuntu, including game data, which is also free. But packaging the server is not necessary for the client, as we provide a game server which is also the default server configured in the client we release. PS: I hope this is the right way to request a package, if not I would appreciate any pointers to the right place.
