Thank you for your bug report - I can see where the problem is. Can you tell me how you managed to install opencryptoki-2.2.6+dfsg-1, as it shouldn't have been installable due to bug 262708?

Changed in opencryptoki:
importance: Undecided → Medium
status: New → Incomplete

I think this was automatically installed under Ubuntu 8.04 as a dependency of trousers or tpm-tools.

And you managed to successfully upgrade to Ubuntu 8.10 with it? I thought it would have failed because of that bug :/

I believe I did got a warning during the upgrade, ceratinly not anything fatal, but I can't remember if it was related to this. Would there still be any log files around that could help you?

Could you please attach the contents of /var/log/dist-upgrade? That might still contain something.

Thanks

Marking Fix Released, taking out the regression-* tag: packages seem to be correct since at least 9.10, perhaps earlier. This bug seems to have fallen into a crack.
