LG 5.1 ATI video flicker

Bug Description

I have an LG LAPTOP model : S1 PRO EXPRESS DUAL with ATI mobility Radeon X1600.. so far nothing flickers except when i try and watch video's with totem and vlc the same problem occurs.. it just flickers. anyone have a solution?? im on a fresh install of ubuntu 8.10

Thanks for report. Could You provide more information, for example:
- what's happen when you use mplayer;
- what's kind of video, for example: wmv, divx, ogg theora, etc.
- did You apply all upgrades?
