Powermanager was upgraded Mon Nov 10 and after that fan speed i running constantly.
Did a BIOS upgrade to A13 on Sun Nov 9 on my DELL xps m1330 and fan was running really quite after that, but today Mon Nov 10 updates was released and it wrecked the fan speed again...
$ lsb_release -rd

~$ apt-cache policy powermanagement-interface
powermanagement-interface:
Installed: 0.3.18
Candidate: 0.3.18

~$ apt-cache policy powermgmt-base
powermgmt-base:

I think the problem goes back to the powermanagement as there was a new included in the update but I am not sure. |

Using nvidia 173.14.12-10ubuntu4 instead of 177.80-0ubuntu2 seems to solve the fan problem.
