2008-11-05 19:13:46 Mark description The Dell Optiplex GX-260 doesn't look to now be compatible with Ubuntu 8.10. That is unfortunate, as we mostly have GX-260s'. If anyone has an idea on how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated. When I install it, the desktop doesn't come up. All I get is either a black or brown screen and mouse pointer I can move. As of today compiz still freezes my pc. The "official" fix is blacklisting some graphics hardware so that compiz won't start. Jerry THIS FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR ME
