Bug Description

My Matrox P650 makes problems again, this time after upgrading to Ubuntu 8.10.
The card is not recognized at startup, and Ubuntu apparently tries to do something, until it finally comes up with a screen telling me that I eather must configure x.conf manually, or run a low screen resolution.
The proprietary drivers from the Matrox homepage or from tuxx.at don't compile on 8.10 anymore.
