ubuntu 8.10 installation

Bug Description

After installation of ubuntu 8.10, at the restart of PC appear the message: too elevated frequency. the only way to work with the pc is to reinstall ubuntu 8.04.

My monitor is hyundai image quest l70s+; video card is radeon 9500pro sapphire, motherboard is P4S800D
