graphics of e.g. firefox is flickering

Bug Description

When starting a program e.g. Firefox the grachics on top is white and the icons for minimizing, maximizing and closing are invisible. When moving the mouse over the area the brow/orange graphic/coloring reappeares. This is also the case for other applications. The praphic dissappeares at times.

I have activated the nvidia 177 driver

I have a HP dc5750

I have Ubuntu 8.10
