notification area flickers

Hello,

Whenever I change my wallpaper or set the wallpaper to transition the notification area will flicker. I don't know how it's displayed, but maybe adding double buffering will help (if it doesn't already do that).

Also some icon will keep the prior wallpaper behind them in the notification area when I change the wallpaper.

Thank you for taking the time to file this report. Can you update us on whether you are still encountering this issue? If so, what version of Ubuntu are you using? Have you applied all available patches?

Are you using visual effects packages? Have you attempted to recreate this behavior without visual effects enabled?

If you have already considered the questions above, then please attach your xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log files to this report so we can dig a little deeper into your configuration.
