Bug Description
This bug become visible after upgrading to intrepid RC.
When opening some folders from the places gnome-panel menu, they're opened using application associated with the "inode/directory" mime-type instead of nautilus. This setting is stored in ~/.local/
inode/directory
It's no surprise, but the behaviour was different in hardy (the folders were opened in nautilus). It is possible to set application associated with opening directories by right-clicking one of them in nautilus and setting the default program to open elements of this type to something other than "open directory". It happens only to directories selected from the places menu. Directories on desktop shown by nautilus open in nautilus.
After changing some directory's "open with" in nautilus to "open directory", the mimeapps.list entry changes to:
inode/directory
The two other records are because I've previously used totem and audacious to open whole music folders.
Maybe the after-first-
