Bug Description

Hi,

Looks like same bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/23885/

But that is over 3 years ago. Now i have same problem with Ubuntu 8.10

From. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/23885/comments/6
Im running latest build of AMD64 Ubuntu 8.10

If i log on to Ubuntu with first user and then lock my computer with ctrl+alt+l and press "Switch user" button and change user to second user. Then i lock second user screen with ctrl+alt+l and press "Switch user" button, display says "out of sync" and computer reboots.

This is very serious bug for me, because this computer is used over 5 people with their own accounts.

Aleksi

Hi,

Is this issue going to be noticed? I have still same problems.

If i log on with user1 and lock screen. Then select "switch user" and log on with user2. Then i lock user2 screen and select "switch user", after that computer reboots by itself. Sometimes i can switch user couple times more than two times, but that does not happen so often.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you please try with Jaunty? Please also attach your Xorg.0.log after getting the crash. Thanks in advance.
