Can't Suspend or Hibernate on 8.10!

Hi, I have been using Ubuntu with the proprietary nvidia driver since Ubuntu 7.10 and suspend to ram and disk always worked except in 8.10 they don't work at all. Please keep in mind Ubuntu 8.10 is fully updated as of today.

If you need me to provide more info please let me know.

Whenever I click on Suspend or Hibernate, the monitor goes blank, it tries to suspend and hibernate but then I get the message like

"Device usb3 failed to freeze"

Something like this and then the system resumes.

Please let me know if more info is needed.
