Hi Fabio, thanks for reporting this.
Unfortunately (or fortunately....) I can't find any reference to gnome_mplayer in the backtrace. Could you try to reproduce this crash? If you can, you could also install the gnome-mplayer-dbg package and manually take a backtrace (see https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Backtrace for instruction).
You may also want to try the newest version (0.8.0) to see if this also crashes, you can install it it from my PPA:
