Bug Description
I have a Logitech Dual Action gamepad. In Intrepid, this gamepad is detected as a mouse. (If I move the analog stick, it moves the mouse cursor). If I press any of the action buttons, X restarts. Playing games with this gamepad is not possible. This gamepad worked fine in Hardy.
In fact, every gamepad I have tried does the same thing in Intrepid, so it's not limited to this particular controller. I was told in bug # 274203 to report this bug individually for each joystick that fails, however I think that's very silly as it is more important to fix this bug for all joysticks, not just the ones reported. This is a huge issue, there could be hundreds if not a thousand non-working gamepads.
Regardless, attached is my lshal output.

Per bug 274203, the crashing X portion of this bug was resolved with the updated package. However, the problem remains where the analog stick controls the mouse cursor.
The D-Pad does not control the mouse cursor with this joystick, however the analog stick does. Even though the D-Pad doesn't control the mouse cursor, it doesn't work in any game I've tried either.
So the crashing part is fixed, now the only thing left for this bug to be closed is to stop it from being detected as a mouse by default.
