Description:
The Open Healthcare group is working on the promotion of the formal specification of requirements for representing and communicating electronic health record (EHR) information. It is an industry group promoting the use and development of open-source healthcare software. As an organization it promotes and distributes an open source health record, XChart.

XChart use the latest XML Internet technology. The Open Healthcare group has developed the source code for a health record that will help you automate and streamline the practice of medicine. Furthermore, since XChart uses an open source code, you will be able to develop and customize your own templates.

If you think XChart is missing a feature that could help your practice, you are free to make the improvements. In addition, as a member of an open source community, you will be able to share your new feature and, in turn, benefit from the experience and work of others.
