Bug Description

"LucidLife is a program for investigating and playing with Conway's Life, a famous cellular automaton. Aimed at users of the GNOME desktop environment, LucidLife should also be portable to other platforms. LucidLife is based on GtkLife."

Homepage: http://www.icculus.org/~jcspray/LucidLife/
License: GPL
Notes: LucidLife is a useful program to mathematicians, and on top of that, is a fun game to play with!
At present a package similar to LucidLife exists in the repositories, titled xlife. However, the inclusion of LucidLife would still be beneficial if it were included in the Ubuntu and Debian repositories. LucidLife uses GTK and provides a greater level of usability and functionality than present in xlife.

Package is uploaded in REVU now. Waiting for advocates.

I packaged this, uploaded it and had it rejected for license reasons (among others) about two years ago. Are things fixed now?

Tim 'Shaggy' Bielawa (tbielawa) wrote :

Upstreams website cites it being available under the GPL now.

If someone needs this package program now, you can also get from my ppa, I didn't notice this discussion and packaged myself
