Bug Description

Package request for Open Conference Systems

The Open Conference Systems (OCS) software is an open source solution to managing and publishing scholarly conferences online. OCS is a highly flexible management and publishing system that can be downloaded for free and installed on a local Web server.

It has been designed to reduce the time and energy devoted to the clerical and managerial tasks associated with managing a conference, while improving the record-keeping and efficiency of editorial processes. It seeks to improve the scholarly and public quality of conference publishing through a number of innovations, from making policies more transparent to improving indexing.

Notes: We release roughly every six months or so. The current version (2.1) is planned to be a long-term stable release. I have also posted a needs-packaging bug for OCS' mother program, Open Journal Systems (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/199727). since we have just released a new, long-term stable release of OJS, I will work towards packaging the most recent versions of these two programs (separately), and will attach the packages to their proper bug reports for review.
