Bug Description
veth is a virtual ethernet device for Linux
What it does differently from ifconfig eth0:0 ... is allow each virtual interface to have its own mac address.
Rationale: if, for instance, your ISP lets you have several IP addresses, assigned by dhcp, and your router acts as a DHCP relay, it would need to spoof the source mac of your hosts to retrieve dhcp responses on their behalf. This is doable with veth.
