Bug Description

The Kyocera FS-1016MFP uses the foo2kyo driver from http://sourceforge.net/projects/kyo-fs1016mfp/ but it doesn't seem to work. My printer jobs appear to be sent to the printer successfully but they don't get printed.

Downloading the driver from the SourceForge page, changing the following line in the Makefile:
cp ppd/Kyocera-Mita-FS-1016MFP-foo2kyo.ppd /usr/share/cups/model/
to
cp ppd/Kyocera-Mita-FS-1016MFP-foo2kyo.ppd /usr/share/ppd/custom
...does seem to work though.

Attached is a .deb package I made with...
sudo checkinstall -D make install
...that works for me.

The problem is that the foo2kyo driver has no Ubuntu package.
Before new packages can enter Ubuntu they need to be reviewed, please follow the steps described here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopment/NewPackages#head-3b4a39acc527ae992fb5ebf6704f11b3828ce0a6.

I don't know much about packaging and made this simple package as a proof of concept. Is it possible that someone else could pick this up so this printer could be supported?

I searched for hours how to get that printer working! Modifying the line didn't work, but your .deb does like a charm! really thank you again!
