Firefox install on Kubuntu 8.04 wants to download 116 MB of archives

If I want to install firefox on Kubuntu 8.04 (started from Live CD), apt-get yields that:

This can only be a bad joke. I don't see a reason why to download "gimp-help-common" or "openoffice.org-draw" when I want to install Firefox.

this happens because there are other updates available.
