Microsoft Sound System 80 not working in hardy beta

Bug Description

The USB sound card worked in Ubuntu 7.10 after upgrading to latest 8.04 beta today, it doesn't work anymore. The dmesg error is:
[ 2833.378456] ALSA /build/buildd/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-2.6.24/debian/build/build-386/sound/alsa-driver/usb/usbaudio.c:1289: 2:1:4: cannot set freq 55010 to ep 0x4
which didn't happen ofcourse in 7.10.

The links to the pastebin are dead. Please upload your data as an attachment here.
Use sudo lsusb -dvvvv:dddd -v for gathering the relevant device info, where vvvv:dddd stands for the ID of your USB-soundcard which you can get by running lsusb without parameters.
