Bug Description

When I go under System > Preferences > Appearance [Fonts]. It doesn't allow me to "Go to the Fonts folder". Also the Help file doesn't reflect the change that the location is System > Preferences > Appearance [Fonts] rather than System > Preferences > Fonts.

The way the help folder suggests still is incorrect. However this is a way to make it work:

Copy all your ttf files into a folder (ex: ~/.fonts)
       Then run this command
fc-cache -fv [file ttfs are in] (ex: fc-cache -fv ~/.fonts)

Now you have new fonts for all programs to use.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
