Bug Description
This problem appeared two updates ago. I have a Western Digital 120 gb external USB powered HD and I have no write properties to it. It is (on the desktop) labeled as 120 GB media, and in /media, the mount point is External as it should be. I have no problem with the underscore added to the mount point as everybody else seam to have. I do however lack write properties both in nautilus and in the terminal. I can create folders and move files as root, but I don't really fancy the terminal for my kind of operations (i.e. selecting certain files from extremely many and moving them to the HD). The update from this morning didn't solve the problem so I thought I'd notify you.
My system is as following:
Acer Aspire 3610
Architecture: i386
Version: Hardy Beta - Gnome powered, updated from Gutsy. (Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch) Release: 8.04)
Please ask if you need further information.
I change my mind on the underscore subject. I also have underscore problems since the last upgrade. It's now mounted as _External since the last upgrade and there is a "External" folder already in /media. This problem started after last upgrade (this morning, 2008 - 04 - 9).
