skype sound does not work on 8.04

skype 2.0 sound does not work since I upgraded to ubuntu 8.04. I checked the settings and they are alright and the sound does work on other things, such as the startup sounds and internet radio.

As a test, could you run skype with this command:
pasuspender skype
and see if it works?
It would also be helpful if you sent the output of the following commands:
aplay -l
lspci -v -l

ok it does work when I started it with that command, the other 2
commands did not do anything at all thanks
