Bug Description
Please see this forum thread describing the problem:
http://
"Not connected?" popup keeps on coming up for a particular printer. I click it and it comes back. I asked about this in #ubuntu and then found this thread on ubuntuforums.org and figured that it was a bug that others are seeing.
This is in Ubuntu 7.10.
In the "Policies" tab in the "Printer configuration" application, I've chosen to unclick
The three active state check boxes:
* Enabled
* Accepting jobs
* Shared.
All three are unchecked. But the popup still persists.
Also, under settings the Device URI is:
socket:
So I believe it's an IPP type setup.
In synaptic cupsys version is listed as 1.3.2-1ubuntu7.5
Please provide the information described here: https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/DebuggingPr intingProblems, especially your cups error_log. Are there any errors in /var/log/syslog?
