Bug Description

I recently updated from Ubuntu 22 to 24 lts. I am having lots of weird desktop issues centered around windows randomly resizing or overlays not going away.

Bug 1:

The orange overlay used for resizing won't go away many times and they are randomly in the wrong location. An example of this is shown in a old bug report on stack overflow https://askubuntu.com/questions/67137/why-is-an-orange-glow-over-half-my-screen-when-no-windows-are-even-open

Bug 2:

Window randomly resize when I am using my mouse to click around. I have noticed this primarily with Firefox, Terminal and VSCODE. I don't use too many other applications so I can't say whether it's global issue or primarily related to these tools.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Libera.chat.

I am closing this I am not sure it's a bug. It is related to the Enhanced tiling feature. This feature is extremely annoying and should probably only be enabled for touch screens.
