NetworkManager does not detect wireless if not turned on at startup

Bug Description

When booting an Acer Aspire (forget the model number) the wireless card does not turn on automatically, as it does in Windows, this is a bug in itself, but not an issue due to the fact flicking the switch on the front enables it and all is well.

After upgrading to Hardy Beta the NetworkManager no longer detects any wireless networks UNLESS the wireless switch is flicked before the computer has booted entirely. It seems it does not handle the hot-plug wireless as the old version did.

Not really sure where to start with this one so please tell me what other details you'd like to try and pin-point the issue here.

Thanks.

It turns out that removing the line from 70-persistant-net.rules for ipw3945 fixed this, there are two names for the wlan, but at least it connects.
