halo around windows after changing scaling

Bug Description

When I change the screen scale in order to conveniently work at the HiDPI resolution of 2560x1600, halos appear around the windows. This happens in both X11 and Wayland. Screenshot in the attachment.

That screenshot can't be accessed by Launchpad. Try renaming it with latin characters.

Also it sounds like you might be talking about bug 1924689?
