Bug Description

My laptop, a Dell XPS 9320 running Ubuntu 23.04 Lunar Lobster, is usually docked via usb-c hub, and connected to an external screen with the lid closed.
Whenever I open the lid it can recognize both internal and external screens but the internal one is black.
I tried to change some settings such as resolution, or enable/disable the internal screen but it stays black.
This even happens if I disconnect it from the hub: the internal monitor stays black while the computer is on.
I don't think it's a brightness problem as even with the mininum brigthness the screen is viewable.
When I say it's black I mean that it's (like it's) turned of.

When it's docked the primary screen is always the external one.

Please tell me if I can provide more information.

This bug never happened on LTS.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Libera.chat.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2023991/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
