Bug Description
2.6.24-12-generic on IBM T-30 Thinkpad 845 Brookdale chipset
During boot system hangs for several minutes, the reports "Loading hardware drivers Failed."
The result is a very incomplete xorg.conf. Trackpoint is detected as generic mouse, and trackpoint scrolling does not work. While snd modules are existing as of today's upgrade, no sound card is detected.
The following is from xorg.conf found in xresprobe. No xorg.conf in /usr/share/X11/
