[Hardy] libc6 2.7-9ubuntu1 update crash the system

Bug Description

I've got this error from the update manager "E: libc6: sous-processus post-installation script tué par le signal (Erreur de segmentation), informations de débogage écrites (« core dumped »)
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

and the system freez on restart at "Starting system log daemon"

I had it too. Lots of segmentation faults. I managed to roll back to 2.7-5ubuntu2 (aren' t those live cd's handy?), held those packages back and all was well again.

I think someone messed up... Errors I saw had to do with mmap and malloc.
