Bug Description
Maybe this is in the network package.
About 3 weeks ago I upgraded from Ubuntu 20 to 22, and my system now says 22.04.1 LTS Jammy.
About 2 weeks ago I upgraded from DSL Internet to fiber Internet, 300-500 times faster (1Mbps -> 300-500 Mbps).
I have a new ASUS RT-AX88U router, installed at the time of the fiber upgrade.
Since all these changes, I've been having the WiFi drop quite a bit, maybe more than once a day. I don't think my phone is dropping it. When it drops, of course, I can't even reach google.com.
The little white fan icon on the top right corner disappears or changes to a question mark. Then I click in that area or somehow open settings, click "Turn Off" Internet, wait a few seconds, then "Turn On" Internet, and that usually fixes it. If it doesn't, I reboot, which has fixed it, too.
I don't know why this is happening. It didn't happen before. It happens often when I'm browsing with Firefox, which is the apt version, not the snap version. I removed snap.
I have a System76 laptop, bought in 2014, which is actually a generic Lenovo under the hood. It seems to be overheating more, too, that is, the fan is on more often, and the laptop feels warm.
I also reported this to System 76 and I don't know if I should also report it to ASUS.
