Bug Description

When viewing / editing document, the current mouse cursor abruptly, randomly and arbitrarily to new position in the document. This happens quite often and in several applications. I have experienced it in chrome browser and Visual Studio Code. Not sure about other applications like GEdit and LibreOffice Writer because these are the 2 applciation I have used heavily and it is very annoying when this happens!

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Libera.chat.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1983770/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

Neither Visual Studio Code or Google Chrome are Ubuntu packages, instead being 3rd party packages which have bug tracked elsewhere.

You've provided no details as to what release of Ubuntu you're using, what desktop etc.

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.

At a minimum, we need:

1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem.
2. The behavior you expected.
3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).

(and it should be Ubuntu repository applications; third party applications use different bug trackers)

Thank you!

Also, it's worth pointing out that I'm using Chrome and am not experiencing these problems, so this may be a hardware issue on your end.

I don't experience this on Windows 11. Only Ubuntu 22.04 on the same dual-booted hardware. Same hardware and applications. Different OS. Works properly on Windows 11 but not Ubuntu 22.04.

On Ubuntu, let the Web page stays for a while, then try to activate the Bluetooth mouse and the page will start scrolling from a different position. I am using a 4K display with 200% scale.
