In Ubuntu Hardy it is working out of the box, but you have to switch in your BIOS the function Operating System to "installed". This function uses a special feature for USB-devices to boot! But the webcam and other things won't work with this function.

Not all BIOS has the Option "OS Installation".

I have an ASUS eee 1201pn, and I don't have that option, so I can't use mic or cammera at all. It must be another workaround.

Any ideas?
