Bug Description

Regular update including new kernel images. After reboot, sound was not working and only the dummy output is shown.

Description: Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS
Release: 18.04
Package: linux-image-4.15.0-177-generic (also happens with 180-generic
Hardware: Dell XPS 13 with Intel HD onboard sound (Realtek HD ALC3246)

Expected: Sound to work, mic to work, sound card recognised in settings.
What happened instead: Dummy sound only available card, sound does not work, mic does not work

Tried: Restarting pulse audio, grepping lsmod for a sound card (nothing listed)

Workaround: Everything works fine if I boot into 4.15.0-176-generic
